1. Our commitment

HausMart is committed to making our website and property matching platform as accessible and usable as possible for everyone, including people with disabilities. We aim to follow the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA as a working target, and we continually review and improve the experience as our platform evolves.

2. How we support accessibility

We build HausMart with accessibility in mind, including:

  • Keyboard navigation — every interactive element, including our swipe deck and map controls, can be reached and operated using the keyboard alone.
  • Screen reader support — semantic headings, landmarks, labels and ARIA attributes help assistive technology understand and announce content.
  • Skip links — a "Skip to main content" link lets keyboard users bypass repeated navigation.
  • Text alternatives — meaningful images carry descriptive alt text and decorative images are hidden from assistive technology.
  • Colour and contrast — we check that text remains legible against our backgrounds and never rely on colour alone to convey information.
  • Responsive layout — the site adapts cleanly across mobile, tablet and desktop without horizontal overflow.
  • Focus indicators — visible focus styles make it clear where you are as you move through the page.

3. Known limitations

Some third-party services we link to, such as mapping providers and partner websites, may have accessibility limitations that are outside our control. Where we become aware of an issue, we work to fix it or to provide an accessible alternative.
